1. Information we collect

Account info: name, email, phone, business address (installers); same for customers submitted by an installer or self-served via the guest path.
Property info: address you enter on the calculator; public-record data we pull (ATTOM, Trestle) such as deed owner, year built, square footage.
Utility info: bill image / data you upload; extracted fields like usage (kWh), monthly bill amount, rate plan, billing period.
System config: the proposal you build (panel count, battery, roofing, EV charger).
Verification metadata: OTP codes (server-side, time-limited), IP address, user agent for audit purposes.

2. How we use it

Generate the solar / roofing / EV / energy-storage quote you came for.
Issue §7159-compliant Home Improvement Contracts and supporting agreements.
Verify your identity before sending binding documents.
Respond to your questions and provide ongoing service.
Improve the calculator (when you opt into analytics cookies).
Run marketing campaigns (when you opt into marketing cookies and provide TCPA consent).

3. How we share it

Approved installers: when a guest customer submits a self-served quote, the lead is routed to a Maxify-approved installer in your area.
Service providers: Cloudflare (hosting), Resend (email), Google (Maps, Solar API), Twilio (SMS), Anthropic / Google (AI for OCR + chat). All bound by data-processing agreements.
Financing partners: HDM Capital for solar service agreements you accept.
Legal: when required by court order or regulator.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Your rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA), and applicable rights for other U.S. states and the EEA/UK (GDPR):

Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Request correction or deletion.
Opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Limit use of sensitive information.
Non-discrimination for exercising any of the above.

5. Retention

Active quotes and contracts: kept while your relationship is active, then 7 years for tax + warranty compliance.
Marketing leads (guest, no contract): 24 months from last activity.
Calculator session snapshots (sessionStorage): 4 hours.
